What is a "meth"?
It is the improvised production of beverages, done in illegal laboratories in an empirical way. The production may include artificial perfumes as well as illegal alcohol with high concentration of methyl alcohol (wood spirit). The production procedures and the results – the taste as well as the consumer's safety- are absolutely doubtful.

This beverage may prove very dangerous for health because of the ingredients used. It is also illegal and the offender is prosecuted for a series of serious criminal offenses.
The authorities have not found any illegal laboratories in Greece recently, and the General Chemical State Laboratory has not come across any such samples. However, there are rumors that such laboratories exist in countries of the ex- Eastern Block. ENEAP has requested the institutionalization of a control system regarding imports by non- official representatives of foreign Houses.
