What is hangover?

"Hangover" is the ugly feeling of the next day following a night when we had consumed more alcohol than appropriate.

Typical symptoms include a strong and persisting headache, thirst, depression, sensitivity to lights and noises.

The reason is mostly the dehydration caused by the diuretic property of alcohol which increases as we drink more. Moreover, herbal substances contained in some alcoholic drinks may cause toxicity and create the corresponding symptoms of «hangover».
